Oklahoma sex offender hid criminal past from woman found dead at his property alongside three teens: 7 Bodies

An Oklahoma woman said police found the bodies of her daughter and three grandchildren on a rural property where authorities had tracked down a registered sex offender and two missing teenagers — all of whom were also found dead.

Janette Mayo, of Westville Oklahoma, said the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office told her late Monday that authorities had found her daughter, Holly Guess, 35, and her grandchildren, Rylee Elizabeth Allen, 17; Michael James Mayo, 15; and Tiffany Dore Guess, 13; shot to death on land owned by convicted rapist Jesse McFadden.

Although the state medical examiner still must confirm their identities, Sheriff Eddy Rice said he thought that “we have found the persons.”

“We believe to have found everything that we were seeking this morning, Rice said. “Our hearts go out to the families and friends, schoolmates and everyone else.”

Cops found their bodies alongside the two teens, Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 16, the sheriff’s office said Monday.

Authorities also found the corpse of McFadden, a 39-year-old registered sex offender who had spent 16 years in prison for rape and was scheduled for trial Monday on unrelated charges of soliciting child porn.

When McFadden never showed up for the proceedings — which would have determined if he had sexted an underage girl on a contraband phone while he was incarcerated in 2017 — Muskogee County issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

In a Tuesday interview, Mayo, 59, described McFadden as a quiet but controlling manipulator who hid his deviant past from her daughter.

“He lied to my daughter, and he convinced her it was all just a huge mistake,” Mayo said.

“He was very demure,” Mayo added, noting that the family didn’t know about his criminal history until a few months ago. “He was very standoffish, generally very quiet, but he kept my daughter and the kids basically under lock and key. He had to know where they were at all times, which sent red flags up.”

Her daughter, Holly Guess, was a doting, fantastic mom who always supported her kids, Mayo said.

“She loved her children beyond belief,” Mayo said. “She was overprotective.”

Her granddaughter Rylee Allen was a talented painter who wanted to be an artist and a doctor “so she could help people.”

Her grandson, Michael Mayo, was a track athlete and football player, while Tiffany Guess ran cross-country, sang in choir and had just tried out for the cheerleading squad.

“She was the sweetest, most loving girl you’d ever met,” Mayo said. “We called her ‘Tiffasaurus’ because when she’d get mad at you, she’d growl.”

Police would not provide details about how the victims died. But they said previously that Webster and Brewer had last been seen traveling with McFadden.

“Our hearts go out to the families and friends, schoolmates and everyone else,” said Sheriff Eddy Rice.

Authorities issued a missing endangered person advisory on Monday as they searched for McFadden, Webster and Brewer.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokesman Gerald Davidson said authorities found the bodies near Henryetta, a town of about 6,000 perched 90 miles east of the state capital.

Nathan Brewer, Brittany’s father, told KOTV in Tulsa that his daughter was an outgoing person who’d been chosen as Miss Henryetta — and was going to Tulsa in July to compete in the National American Miss pageant.

“And now she ain’t gonna make it because she’s dead,” Nathan said. “She’s gone.”

At a Monday night vigil, Brewer told hundreds in attendance that he was lost without his daughter, who’d wanted to be a teacher or a vet.

It’s just a parent’s worst nightmare, and I’m living it,” he said.

The Henryetta public school district said school would be in session, but the administration understood if parents wanted to keep their kids home.

“Our hearts are hurting,” the district said in a Facebook post.
