Robert Card firearms instructor person of interest in mass murder killings OF 22 in Maine USA

People in Lewiston, Maine’s second-biggest city, have been told to stay in place amid what police say is an active shooter situation involving at least two locations.
At least 22 people have been killed and 50 to 60 others injured, law enforcement sources and a Lewiston city councilor tell CNN. NBC News notes the death toll is roughly on par with the total number of homicides Maine typically sees in a year. In a Facebook post, Lewiston police said the incident involved Schemengees Bar and Grille and Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley.
Police released two photos of a suspect holding a gun to his shoulder, as well as a photo of the suspect’s vehicle.
“They believe they have him identified, and they are actively seeking him and the vehicle they believe he’s driving,” NBC News’ chief justice contributor said, noting the suspect may have a criminal history but that motive is not yet known.
“Please stay inside your home with the doors locked.
Law enforcement is currently investigating at multiple locations,
” Maine State Police said in a post on X. Lewiston, which has a population of about 38,000, is located 45 minutes north of Portland. (NBC News has a liveblog here.)
