Shortly after the discovery, emergency services were called to a unit fire in Innaloo, about 22 km from South Guildford where a man’s body was found- believed to be that of Ms Lyall’s ex partner Luke Noormets.

Mr Noormets, 33, is also believed to be linked to the Rebels bikie group, and had been jailed for several years before the incident for crimes including torture and waterboarding.

Police said detectives had established that the deaths were linked, and the two were known to each other.

“There are no concerns for the safety of the wider community,” a police spokesperson said.

Investigations into the circumstances of both incidents are ongoing.
