What’s interesting is that Jim Jones desegregated the city of Indianapolis almost single-handedly. Among other things, he would promise restauranters business and then bring his entire congregation to eat during quiet times of day.
I can’t remember who it was, but a writer said that if Jones had been killed before moving to California, he would have been remembered as a hero of the civil rights movement. It just goes to show that you can never know what’s truly going on in someone’s head. And that meth is bad. Don’t do meth, kids.
